We are excited for another season of Grand Ledge Area Youth Cheer (GLAYC)! Below are the key details for the 3rd - 6th grade cheer program.
📅 Registration & Important Dates
🔹 Registration Opens: January 1, 2025
🔹 Registration Deadline: August 11, 2025
🔹 Cost: $175
🔹 First Day of Practice: August 11, 2025
💳 Payment Plans: Available at the time of registration. A $3 processing fee will be applied per transaction by the third-party processor.
🏆 Player Eligibility
GLAYC is open to students entering 3rd - 6th grade in the upcoming fall school year who attend one of the following:
🏫 Grand Ledge Public Schools
⛪ St. Michael Parish
📚 New Covenant Christian School
✝️ Our Savior Lutheran
🏠 Home-schooled students living within the Grand Ledge School District boundaries
📌 Eligibility Verification: If your child does not meet these eligibility requirements, they will not be allowed to participate in GLAYC. If registration is completed and eligibility is not met, the child will be removed from play without a refund. This rule is set by MMPFL, which governs GLAYF/GLAYC.

⚠️ Important:
If your child(ren) are found not to attend one of the schools above or receive homeschooling outside the Grand Ledge School District, then they cannot participate in GLAYF or GLAYC. If you sign up and your child(ren) do not meet the location requirement, then they will be removed from play and no refund will be issued. MMPFL has created and approved this rule, and GLAYF/GLAYC must abide by it.
📣 What Your Cheerleader Will Need
👟 White Soft-Sole Shoes:
All grades need plain white athletic shoes. If your child will be a flyer, avoid shoes with hard ridges on the bottom as they can be uncomfortable for the bases. Supportive athletic shoes are recommended for running and conditioning. If you’re unsure about which shoes to get, please check with your coach.
💧 Water Bottle:
Hydration is essential during practice and games!
👕 Uniform Information:
- GLAYC-supplied uniforms must be returned at the end of the season.
- During registration, you will need to provide sizes for your cheerleader’s navy-blue turtleneck and bloomers. These will be ordered in bulk and distributed at a later date.
- If you would like additional navy-blue tops or bloomers, you will be responsible for the cost.
- Bodysuits and bloomers are yours to keep and do not need to be returned.
⚠️ Equipment Return Policy:
All borrowed equipment must be returned at the end of the season. Failure to do so will result in a replacement fee and may impact eligibility for future GLAYC participation.
🔄 Refund Policy
If your athlete withdraws from the program:
✅ Before the first day of practice: 100% refund (minus a $3 processing fee).
🚫 After the first day of practice: No refunds will be issued.
🔄 If GLAYF/GLAYC-owned equipment has been issued, it must be returned before processing a refund.
