Replacing/Nominating New Board Members

Each board seat has a set term limit. Each year we look to replace those that are expiring. 

How that happens:
All year: Identify those that wish to help or have interest in the board/program.
November Meeting: Nominations are made for those that wish run for a board seat. Those nominated are then put on the ballot for vote during the December meeting.
December meeting (annual meeting): Voting takes place for anyone with a child in the program, as well as 7th and 8th grade families. New board members are announced once voting closes.

Executive Board Seats are Voted on:
President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are elected each year from the newly elected board.

Grand Ledge Area Youth Football and Cheer (GLAYF/GLAYC)

Providing tackle football for kids in grades 3rd - 6th and Cheer for kids in grades 3rd - 8th who live within the Grand Ledge School District.

Although we do not provide tackle football for grades 7th and 8th, we work closely with the School District to support the needs of those athletes. Please visit the Grand Ledge athletics' Beagle Middle School page for 7th and 8th grade information. https://beagle-glps.bigteams.com/ 

Mission Statement:

To promote the game of Football and Cheer, so it may be enjoyed by as many young athletes as possible in the Grand Ledge Area.

GLAYF:

* Encourages all those who desire and are able to participate
* Stives to provide a service for the betterment of the community. 
* Promotes the development of the athlete as a total person, including but not limited to academics, sportsmanship, self-discipline, self-reliance and teamwork.  

GLAYF is a non-profit organization registered with the State of Michigan. No officer or coach is paid any salary or fee for their services. All services provided are on a 100% voluntary bases including our Board of Directors.
